Abstract

This study asks questions about whether leadership has an effect on employee performance, whether work motivation also affects performance, and whether both factors together have an impact on employee performance. The main objectives of this study are to analyze the effect of leadership on employee performance at PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN Persero) UP3 Lubuk Pakam, assess the extent to which work motivation affects employee performance, and examine the combined impact of leadership and work motivation on their performance. This study involved 65 respondents as both the population and the sample. Data collection techniques include data validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing. The results of the study indicate that leadership partially has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Work motivation also shows a positive and significant effect, although in some cases it can vary. Simultaneously, leadership and work motivation provide a positive and significant contribution to improving employee performance.
