This research explores the optimization of brochures as a visual communication medium to revitalize the branding of Samirono Village as an environmentally-based edu-tourism destination. Samirono Village, located in Getasan District, Semarang Regency, holds significant potential in edu-tourism focused on waste management and the transformation of animal waste into creative products. However, the identity of this edu-tourism initiative has not been fully developed due to the lack of visual media-based promotional strategies, including the absence of brochures that effectively convey the village’s educational values. Through an educational-participatory approach involving the local community and village administrators, this initiative aims to design brochures that are both informative and aesthetically appealing. The implementation stages include field studies, digital design seminars, brochure design, and finalization. As a result, a new brochure was successfully created with a more professional design, comprehensive information structure, and visuals aligned with the village’s character as an “Energy Independent Village.” This updated edition of the brochure serves not only as a promotional tool but also integrates aspects of branding, education, and the local creative economy.
