Abstract

The socialization activity of making hijab brooches from scrap fabric is an effort to empower students to process textile waste into useful and economical products. This program aims to improve the skills of students, especially women, in creating environmentally friendly hijab accessories from scrap fabric. The implementation method of the activity includes preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. The results of the activity showed that participants were able to understand the material well and were able to practice making brooches independently. In addition to improving skills, this activity also raised awareness of the importance of textile waste management and opened up opportunities for handicraft-based businesses. Thus, this socialization contributes to the development of the creative economy and a sustainable lifestyle.
