Peningkatan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Siswa Berbasis PBL Berbantuan Wordwall Bernuansa Budaya Lokal

Critical thinking skills are one of the main objectives of mathematics learning. However, many students have not developed these skills optimally. The application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model combined with Wordwall media with local cultural nuances of Medan City is expected to help improve these skills. This study aims to prove the effectiveness of the PBL model assisted by Wordwall on students' critical thinking skills. This quantitative study used a quasi-experimental design of the non-equivalent control group design. The results showed a significant increase between students' pretest and posttest scores in the experimental class. The average posttest score of the experimental class was also higher than that of the control class. Thus, the PBL model assisted by Wordwall with local cultural nuances is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills.
