Abstract

In the era of digital transformation, prospective teachers are expected to master adaptive and innovative teaching competencies, particularly in integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into learning processes. Mathematics instruction at the elementary level, which is often perceived as abstract, demands creative and contextual approaches that align with students’ developmental characteristics. This community service program was designed to strengthen the professional capacity of prospective mathematics teachers through intensive mentoring on the utilization of AI in lesson planning, instructional media development, and assessment design. Conducted face-to-face at STKIP Pangeran Antasari, the program employed training, hands-on practice, collaborative discussions, and sustained mentoring. The program outcomes demonstrate significant improvements in students’ abilities to apply AI in an effective, creative, and ethical manner, supporting the development of interactive, contextual, and student-centered learning in accordance with the Merdeka Curriculum. This initiative contributes strategically to preparing innovative and future-ready mathematics teachers capable of responding to the challenges of digital-era education.
