Abstract

In the current digital context, social media has become a crucial marketing tool for various organizations, including Vocational High School (SMK) Negeri 8 South Tangerang City. This journal discusses social media optimization strategies to create business opportunities that students can take advantage of. Based on a survey quoted by We Are Social, as many as 49.9 percent or around 139 million of the total population of Indonesia actively use social media. This shows that social media has become an integral part of Indonesian society, with 75% of internet users in the country involved in at least one social media platform, the potential of social media as a marketing platform cannot be ignored. Through a structured approach, including audience and competitive analysis, strategy building, and results monitoring, students can improve their digital literacy and practical skills. The training program designed includes content creation such as copywriting, graphic design using Canva, and video editing with CapCut. Through implementing this strategy, it is hoped that students will be able to create content as a relevant business opportunity in the digital era. This journal aims to provide a comprehensive guide for students to utilize social media effectively in a business and marketing context.
