APLIKASI PERSAMAAN LINIER DALAM MATEMATIKA EKONOMI PADA CABAI MERAH DI SUMATERA UTARA

Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of red chili price variables, population number, and income on red chili demand in North Sumatra Province. In addition, this study also analyzes the impact of red chili prices, fertilizer prices (Urea, ZA, SP-36), and harvest area on the supply of red chili. The results showed that per capita income had a significant positive influence on the demand for red chili, which was explained by the independent variable of 87.9%. Meanwhile, the harvest area had a positive effect on supply, which was explained by the independent variable of 94.1%. The demand and supply of red chili peppers show a convergent tendency towards balance.
