Abstract

The high level of poverty is a problem in North Sumatra. Every year, the rate of poverty is increasing exponentially, and this is a problem. This study investigates the impact of labor, education level, Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), consumption, and investment on poverty in North Sumatra. This research used quantitative methodology to acquire and process the necessary data, which is causal and quantitative. Twenty-nine districts and cities are in the North Sumatra GDP study for 2017–2019. With 87 sample data, the sample consists of 29 districts/cities with three years of experience. The multiple linear regression test is a data analysis technique. The findings of the study show that poverty in North Sumatra is influenced by labor force and GDP. Poverty in North Sumatra is not affected by investment, consumption, or education levels. GDP, Investment, Consumption, and Education Level affect poverty in North Sumatra
